PRELIMINARY TASK: LIGHTING EXPERIMENT

Lighting helps change the mood, meaning and effect within a film. It is used in various means to create a certain outlook in the scenes. A popular example would be- ‘horror films’. In this genre, lighting is used in many different ways to achieve emotions and meanings that can be interpreted by the audience. Rembrandt is a type of lighting that can be achieved using one light and a reflector or two lights. It is used often because it helps give a dramatic effect with minimal equipment.
