PRODUCTION: TYPOGRAPHY

For my movie, I wanted to use a unique font that would look like a scrawly handwritten text. Since I could not find any font that I preferred, I decided to make my own using a website called www.calligraphr.com and the adobe photoshop software. Firstly, I had to download a template where I could fill in the boxes with my own text.

I wanted my font to match the genre of my film as this would help in the aesthetic of the movie and make it much clearer to my audience. I was inspired to create this font by the 'Lights Out (2016)' movie. Then, I loaded the template on to photoshop, where I used the brush tool to draw out the letters. Once I was satisfied, I saved it as a PNG file which I then uploaded on to the calligraphr website.

I was able to download and use it as a personal font on my laptop.
