DEVELOPING: AUDIENCE QUESTIONNAIRE FINAL
I did a final questionnaire relating to the one before since my last questionnaire showed a preference to the 'thriller' genre. The results from this questionnaire is more reliable since I have had more people take this survey than the previous one.
The thriller genre turned out to be the most favoured amongst the other options because of how popular it is above the ages of 24. In this questionnaire, I got my results from ages 24 and above since my last questionnaire was filled out by ages within 15-18.

Psychological thrillers are proven to be the most popular amongst my audience than the other sub-genres of thriller because it is more well known to the viewers. There are not many popular films under the 'religious thriller' genre unlike the psychological thrillers.
Storylines are extremely important within films because a storyline decides the audience's interest. A good storyline contains the ingredients for a successful narrative. Therefore if the storyline doesn't peak the audience's interest, the film would not be rated well.
From my last questionnaire, the amount of people that have picked 'the idea of something' has increased massively and this is an element of a psychological thriller– not really making the audience see the truth but rather playing with the ideas in their head. By doing this, the films engage the viewers more.
This relates to the psychological thriller genre again, since the audience want to be 'psychologically terrified', therefore wanting a complex storyline that is able to affect them emotionally.
Thriller and mystery is a good combination with the horror genre as it engages the audience and contains enigmas that make the viewers want to keep watching to get the answers that they need.
Predictable film storylines ruin the mood for audiences unless the viewers are specifically into the cliche narratives. This inspired me to create a unique storyline for my own film opening, yet be a product that would engage my audience.
